July 23 2013
I received IPL treatment from my plastic surgeon today.
Pulses of high intensity light treatment was delivered to manage skin complexion (making it fair), and pigmentation spots.
My face looked this way before the process.
Before the process, cooling gel was applied on my face.
The process took about 10 minutes. There were some minor pain with each firing, accompanied by strong light felt. It was slightly burning in feeling immediately afterwards. I was asked to attend to skin hydration (with gel) and sunblock applications.
Looking forward to development over the next few days.
The pigmented areas on face became darker in colour within half a day, and they were obvious even to the most untrained eyes.
Over the next days after IPL, skin at pigmented areas gradually scaled off. On Day 6, it looked really much whiter and more uniform in pigmentation.
On August 20, I attended again for a follow up IPL treatment. Clinical photos of my face on this day is displayed below.
